PORT GIBSON — Mildred B. Rollins Johnson died Sunday, Nov. 13, 2011, at her home in Port Gibson. She was 79.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents, Nathaniel Rollins Sr. and Rosie Wells Rollins; her husband, Johnnie Johnson Sr.; three brothers, Houston Rollins, Howard Rollins Sr. and Nathaniel Rollins Jr.; and two sisters, Beverly Rollins and Liza Rollins.
She is survived by two sons, Eugene Johnson of Port Gibson and Johnnie Johnson of Lithonia, Ga.; one daughter, Brenda Johnson of Lithonia; two brothers, Al J. Rollins of Orlando, Fla., and Albert Rollins of Chicago; five sisters, Rosetta Johnson and Mary Armstrong, both of Port Gibson, Thelma Smith of St. Louis and Edwinna Robinson and Connie Outley, both of Ruston, La.; two grandchildren; other relatives; and friends.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rose Hill Christian Church in Lorman with elder Walter Chambers officiating. Burial will follow at McCay Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 5 p.m. Friday at Thompson Funeral Home and Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the service.
