James M. “Shorty” Williams died Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, at University Medical Center in Jackson. He was 87.

Mr. Williams was a retired farm foreman and a member of St. Mark M.B. Church. He was a veteran of the Army, serving in World War II.

W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
