HOUSTON, Texas — Lonnie Allen Wilson died Friday, Aug. 26, 2011. He was 90.
Mr. Wilson was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was born in Rocky Springs on March 3, 1921. He was a member of Park Place Baptist Church in Houston, a member of Shriners, a 32nd degree Master Mason and a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran having served during World War II. He retired from GEO-Source after 35 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Mary Wilson; a brother, Wesley Wilson; and a sister, Edna Sorrels.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Helen Nations Wilson; two daughters, Dorothy Ann Harryman and husband Billy and Betty Jo Watson and husband Bill; four sisters, Sue Rigby, Maxine Nations, Bernice Morrison and Faye Horton; a brother, James Wilson; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A graveside memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hermanville Cemetery in Hermanville with the Rev. Billy Brumfield officiating. Glenwood Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
