Heather Butler has been named vice president of marketing for River Region Health System.

Butler has more than 15 years of marketing and management experience and was senior director of marketing at DiamondJacks Casino and Hotel in Vicksburg before joining River Region.

She has a bachelor’s degree in secondary science education from Louisiana Tech University and is a past graduate of Leadership Vicksburg.

She has served on the United Way of West Central Mississippi board and serves on the United Way Donor Investment Committee and the United Way Marketing Committee. She is a board member of the Vicksburg Swim Association and served as treasurer and public relations chairman of the Junior Auxiliary of Vicksburg.
