Eris Kathleen Ganzerla

MADISON — Eris Kathleen Ganzerla, 87, died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland.
She was born in Philadelphia, Miss. She lived in Vicksburg most of her life and moved to Madison in 2003. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Vicksburg, then St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Madison. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was passionate about cooking, sewing and family. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors include daughters, Veronica Coffing (Rodgers Jr.) of Vicksburg, Benita Temple (Larry) of Dripping Springs, Texas; sons, Donald Ganzerla (Alice) and John Ganzerla (Melanie), all of Madison; sisters, Reba Higdon of Byram and Mary Jo Antee of Brandon; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dante Ganzerla; father, Clyde Clifton Stokes; mother, Hattie Bell Hall Stokes; son, Michael Ganzerla; sisters, Dorothy Fortenberry and Bettie Mozelle Kirk; and a brother, James Stokes Messina.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Catholic Church with Monsignor Patrick Farrell officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be tonight from 5 until 7 at the funeral home with Christian Wake service at 7 and Friday at St. Paul Catholic Church at 9 a.m. until the hour of service.
Pallbearers will be Glenn Antee, Brad Temple, Daniel Temple, Terry Whitton, Preston Jackson and Chris Green.
Honorary pallbearers will be all the people who touched her life and those lives she touched.
