A Vicksburg man was in the Warren County Jail on $100,000 bond today after he shot into his ex-girlfriend’s home on King Drive Saturday night after an argument, Vicksburg police Capt. Bobby Stewart said.
Timothy Rankin, 30, 3519 N. Washington St., was arrested at his home at 12:03 a.m. Sunday, about an hour after the shooting, and charged with aggravated domestic violence and shooting into an occupied dwelling, Stewart said.
He said Rankin and the woman argued over the telephone about his coming to get their 8-month-old child. He said Rankin then went to the woman’s home in the 100 block of King Drive about 11:12 p.m. Saturday and beat on the door. When the woman refused to let him in, Stewart said, he fired one shot from a .22-caliber handgun that went through a front window, hitting a TV. He said officers recovered a gun believed to have been used in the shooting.
