City man charged with drug possession

A Vicksburg man was charged with possession of a controlled substance Saturday, jail records showed.
Derrick Shorter, 31, 1100 Grammar St., was arrested at 2:35 p.m. by deputy Dan Ratliff following a traffic stop for careless driving in the 4500 block of Lee Road.
Shorter was being held without bond in the Warren County Jail pending his initial hearing in justice court.
