Nine bulls were available for sale Monday at Alcorn State University. All of the cattle, raised by ASU animal science students as part of a U.S. Department of Agriculture grant program, were sold to two buyers for 85 cents per pound. The project coordinator and professor Evelin J. Cuadra, said the total paid for the stock was about $7,000, and the money will be used by the department to sustain the project.
