Services for Albert Lee Shorter will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Barrett Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Hermanville Cemetery.

Mr. Shorter died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, in Hermanville. He was 49.

He was the chief maintenance worker for the Cedar Grove Bed and Breakfast. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hermanville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Matthew and Candis Shorter; three brothers, Monroe Shorter, Woodrow Shorter and Arthur Lee Shorter; and a sister, Margaret Shorter-Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Jean Shorter of Vicksburg; two sons, Arkey White of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Johnathan Parks of Vicksburg; a daughter, KeShonda Parks of Vicksburg; three brothers, Matthew Shorter Jr. and Jerry Lee Shorter, both of Hermanville, and Abraham Shorter of McBride; three sisters, Sara Lee Barnes and Carrie Lee Shorter, both of Hermanville, and Florine Chase of Utica; three grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives, including Jo Ann Parks of Vicksburg.
