Oliver Albert Jones Jr.

TUCSON, Ariz. — Oliver Albert Jones Jr., age 68, long-time resident and business owner, passed away Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012.
He was born April 9, 1943, in Port Gibson, son of the late Oliver Jones Sr. and Idell (Allen) Jones. Albert served in the Mississippi National Guard. In 1961 he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed at Davis Monthan AFB. The trade that he learned while in the service prepared him for a career in the heating and air conditioning business. He first worked at and later owned Russett Service. Albert was the past president and an active member of the Southern Arizona Mechanical Contractors Association. He was a dedicated board member of the Boys and Girls Club of Tucson. As a member and volunteer of numerous wildlife organizations, he not only contributed his time but also supported these organizations financially.
Albert is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Donna (Weber) Jones; he leaves his son, Michael (Angie) Jones; and daughter, Jaclyn Jones. He was proud of his grandchildren, Dustin, Kyle, Dante, Caden, Carson, Austin, Justin, Cody and Amber; and great-grandson, Ryley. Also surviving are brothers, Bill (Joyce) Crum, David (Paula) Jones and sister, Mona Goff.
Predeceasing Albert were a son and daughter, Keith and Angie Jones; and a sister, Ruth Moudy.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, at Evergreen Mortuary, 3015 N. Oracle Road, Tucson, AZ 85705.
