Services for V. Ella Evans McWade, a former Vicksburg resident, will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 tonight at Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home.

Mrs. McWade died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at Manhattan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Jackson. She was 84.

She was a member of Holy Hill Pentecostal Church in Jackson. She retired as a teacher from the Michigan public schools.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold McWade; a son, Charles Green; her parents, Arthur Evans and Bertha Granton Duncan; one brother, Charlie Lee Evans; and two sisters, Josie D. Redmond and Fannie L. Parker.

She is survived by a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives, including Karlyn Parker, Kimberly Parker, Waleisha Strickland, Alexus Bouldin, Romello Bouldin and Malik Bouldin, all of Jackson.
