A dozen softball bats are missing in a burglary reported Thursday morning at Halls Ferry Park.
The bats valued at $60 each were the only items taken from four buildings owned by the city, police Capt. Bobby Stewart said.
The buildings included a concession stand and three maintenance buildings, he said. Three of buildings are leased to private entities, Stewart said.
The break-ins were discovered about 7 a.m. by City of Vicksburg Parks and Recreation workers. Halls Ferry Park has six baseball fields and tennis courts.
