Donald Finney Jr. is removed from his vehicle after a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning on Mississippi 27 near Beechwood Elementary School. Finney was driving a 2004 Saturn Vue with his daughter, Meghan, 3, in the back seat. As he pulled onto the highway at Beechwood, the driver’s side of his car was hit by a 1999 Toyota Avalon driven by Annie Mae Wilson, 74. Finney was taken to River Region Medical Center and later transferred to University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he was treated and released, said UMC officials. Wilson was treated and released from River Region, hospital officials said.
