Silento Sayles dominated at the plate and on the mound, striking out 12 batters in five innings and hitting a home run in a 4-3 victory over Natchez on Saturday.

Shaquille Williams also went 2-for-3 with an RBI for Port Gibson and Domonic Savage scored three runs.

Later Saturday, the Blue Waves finished a doubleheader sweep of their season-opening classic games by beating Jefferson County 13-7. Sayles was 2-for-3 with two RBIs, Devontae Tarleton hit a two-run homer and Jalen Reeves had two RBIs.

Port Gibson will return to action Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Germantown.
