Miss Dowe to marry McLaughlin

Robert Percy Dowe Jr. and Rox Ann Dowe of Vicksburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Kimberly Ann, to Kenneth Michael McLaughlin Jr. Mr. McLaughlin is the son of Kenneth Michael McLaughlin Sr. and Elizabeth Bethea McLaughlin of Hattiesburg.
Miss Dowe is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde E. McCombs of Vicksburg and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Percy Dowe Sr. of Utica.
Mr. McLaughlin is the grandson of John Jefferson Bethea Sr., the late Elizabeth Lowe Bethea and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Wallace McLaughlin, all of Hattiesburg.
The bride-elect is a 2003 graduate of Warren Central High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society and Key Club.
She received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Mississippi State University and is pursuing a master’s degree in business administration from Mississippi State.
Miss Dowe is a budget analyst at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Engineer Research and Development Center.
The prospective groom is a 2003 graduate of Forrest County Agricultural High School, where he was a member of the baseball team and Who’s Who. He served with the 3rd Brigade Combat Team 1st Infantry Division in the U.S. Army from 2005 until 2009.
Mr. McLaughlin is a civil engineering technician at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers/Engineer Research and Development Center.
Vows will be exchanged at 6 p.m. May 12, 2012, at Woodlawn Baptist Church. A reception will follow at the B’nai B’rith Literary Club. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.
