Alice White Scott

Services for Alice White Scott will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Greater Grove Street M.B. Church with the Rev. Pamela King officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Scott died Thursday, March 1, 2012, at River Region Medical Center. She was 60.

Mrs. Scott was retired from the Vicksburg District Corps of Engineers and was a member of Mount Givens M.B. Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher and Salvation Army volunteer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Olivia White.

She is survived by a son, Dietrich Washington of Charleston, S.C.; a daughter, Andrea Eatmon of Augusta, Ga.; five brothers, Ed Myles of Birmingham, Ala., Leroy White of Knobnoster, Mo., William White of Surprise, Ariz., David White of El Paso, Texas, and Tommy Martin of Vicksburg; seven sisters, Bertha Brown, Doris Bolden, Olevia King, Rita Hunter and Shelia Dillamar, all of Vicksburg, Pam King of Columbus, Ga., and Rosie Elder of Waukegan, Ill.; five grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
