Alex Yarbrough went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBIs, and three Ole Miss pitchers combined on a four-hit shutout as the Rebels beat Houston 8-0 on Friday night in Oxford.

Bobby Wahl (3-0) allowed one hit and struck out 10 batters in six innings for Ole Miss (10-2). Aaron Greenwood pitched two innings out of the bullpen, and freshman Hawtin Buchanan finished the shutout in the ninth.

The Rebels struck for six runs in the bottom of the first inning. Six of the first seven batters got hits, and the Rebels had eight hits — all singles — total in the inning. Yarbrough added his two-run double in the fifth to make it 8-0.
