Miss Short to marry LaCombe in Louisiana

Trina Michelle Short and Derek Wayne LaCombe, both of Grosse Tete, La., will be married at 7:30 p.m. March 23, 2012, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Brusly, La. A reception will follow at the Shaw Center at River Terrace in Baton Rouge. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Miss Short is the daughter of Charlene Short and the late Stanley Short of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of the late Leslie and Stella Short of Pearl; the late Opal and Crip Brown of Branson, Mo.; and the late Christine Woolham and the late Charles Parlow of Jackson.

Mr. LaCombe is the son of Ricky and Barbara LaCombe of Grosse Tete. He is the grandson of Verna Fusielier and the late Red Fusielier and the late E.J. LaCombe, all of Grosse Tete, and Charles Glaser Sr. and the late Genevieve Glaser of Maringouin, La.

The bride-elect attended Vicksburg High School and Louisiana State University. She is employed with the Louisiana Air National Guard.

The prospective groom attended Catholic High School and Louisiana State University. He is employed with Exxon Mobil Refinery.
