Johnnie Lee Anderson

CHICAGO — Johnnie Lee Anderson, formerly of Vicksburg, died Sunday, March 11, 2012. He was 88.

Mr. Anderson retired from Learner Box Company after more than 30 years of service. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in Pearl Harbor and Germany.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Viola Anderson.

He is survived by two sons, Michael Shy and Patrick Shy; two daughters, Donna Vasser and Deborah Shy; a sister, Vivian Baldwin of Vicksburg; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Services were at 10 a.m. today at Garfield Waters Funeral Home in Chicago. Burial was to follow at Abraham Lincoln Cemetery in Elmwood, Ill.
