Two Vicksburg juveniles, 10 and 14, were arrested at 2:20 this morning after Officer D’Wayne Powers stopped them on Cain Ridge Road, Capt. Bobby Stewart said.

The boys were charged with two auto burglaries reported less than an hour earlier in the 500 block of Cain Ridge Road, Stewart said.

In the first, a window of a 2005 Mitsubishi Montero was broken, and reported stolen was an iPhone valued at $300, an iPhone charger and headphones valued at $50, $2 and a pair of sunglasses valued at $20.

In the second, an unlocked 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse was entered and ransacked but the owner did not immediately know if anything had been taken.

Powers saw the boys in the 300 block of Cain Ridge Road shortly after the burglaries were reported and questioned them, resulting in the arrests, said Stewart. The items were recovered and the boys were released to their parents.
