Lena Griffin Wright of Tallulah, La., died Friday, March 23, 2012, at Olive Branch Nursing Home. She was 91.

She loved gardening and watching things grow.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lonnie R. Moses Howell; her mother, Annie Laura Barrett; brothers, Lee Howell and Jimmy Howell; and son, Howard Corbin Griffin.

She is survived by her son, Clement Moses Griffin of Moscow, Tenn.; daughter, Omega Lucille Barrett of Vicksburg; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. Tony Winkler and Brother Teddy Crotwell officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Ross, G.T. “Red” Dowdy, James “Jim” Voeker, Billy Savoie, Jessie Barrett and Jason Tatum. Honorary pallbearer will be Gene Neal.
