The engagement of Kelly Ann Masters of Kingwood, Texas, to Kevin Patrick Beard of Houston, Texas, is announced today. Vows will be exchanged June 30, 2012, at United Methodist Church in Kingwood. A reception will follow at the Nathaniel Center.

Miss Masters is the daughter of Lou Ann Masters of Kingwood and the late Greg Masters. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Don S. Masters and the late Mr. and Mrs. George W. Stone.

Mr. Beard is the son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Patrick Beard of Baton Rouge. He is the grandson of Ruth Nevels and the late Wayne Q. Nevels and Bobbie Beard and the late James P. Beard, all of Vicksburg.

The bride-elect attended Kingwood High School and Louisiana Tech University.

The prospective groom attended Catholic High School and the University of Louisiana at Monroe. He is employed at Environmental Resources Management in Houston.
