Shane Richard Carter died Sunday, April 1, 2012, at his home. He was 25.

Born in Vicksburg, Mr. Carter attended Warren Central High School. He was a construction worker with Lee’s Metal Builders.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Claude and Margie Wright of Vicksburg.

He is survived by his wife, Michelle Carter of Vicksburg; two children, Cadence Elizabeth Carter and Skyler Marie Carter, both of Vicksburg; his mother, Lori Wright Carter; his father, Larry Richard Carter; one sister, Dee McCain of Vicksburg; three brothers, Aaron Nick Carter, Russell Wade Carter and Christopher Richard Carter, all of Vicksburg; and his paternal grandparents, Lamar and Frances Woodham of Monroe, La.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Riles Funeral Home.
