FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Bertha Lee Price Gibson died Thursday, April 5, 2012, at her home in Fayetteville. She was 64.
Mrs. Gibson was born in Utica to Jasper Price and Marcella Schuller Price Walton. She was a former Vicksburg resident.
She had served as vice president of the Westover Recreation Center senior program and was retired from the Army & Air Force Exchange Service. She attended Insoul Fellowship Church before joining Wood Memorial Gospel Service at Fort Bragg, N.C.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence Gibson; two sons, Clarence Gibson Jr. of Lillington, N.C., and Kenneth Gibson of Fayetteville; one daughter, Claudia Johnson of Fayetteville; one brother, Simon Price; four sisters, Barbara Marshall, Carrie Taylor, Amy Flaggs and Cedella Williams; seven grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Insoul Fellowship Church, 1077 71st School Road in Fayetteville, with Pastor Joe L. Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. Friday until the service.
