The engagement of LaKentra Nicole Anderson to Reio Rayshun Parson Sr., both of Vicksburg, is announced today. The wedding will be at 4 p.m. May 26, 2012, at Gospel Temple M.B. Church. A reception will follow at the Holiday Inn Express.

Miss Anderson is the daughter of Rosetta Anderson-Reed and Raymond Reed Sr. of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of Christine Reed and Ora Anderson, both of Vicksburg, and James Anderson Sr. of Dallas, Texas.

Mr. Parson is the son of Frances Parson of Vicksburg and Alvin Ray Watson of Tallulah. He is the grandson of the late Pearlie Hogan and the late John L. Parson Sr., both of Vicksburg.

The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of Vicksburg High School, where she was a member of JROTC. She attended Hinds Community College.

Miss Anderson is employed at Subway.

The prospective groom is a 2003 graduate of Vicksburg High School, where he was a member of JROTC.

Mr. Parson is employed at Cracker Barrel.
