Betty A. Edwards Willis, 70, of Vicksburg, died Saturday, April 14, 2012, at River Region Medical Center.

Mrs. Willis was known as a “people” person. She never met a stranger. Her life revolved around her grandson, Cody. She also enjoyed cooking and was famous for her coconut cake.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Willis; her parents, Roy L. and Gladys Bruce Edwards; two brothers, Johnny Edwards and Pete Edwards; and a sister, Patricia Kay Edwards.

Survivors include a daughter, Kathy W. (Randy) Bass of Vicksburg; three sisters, Patsy Gilmore, Mary Hudson and Carolyn White, all of West, Miss.; and her grandson, Cody W. Bass of Vicksburg.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2012, at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. Bryan Abel officiating. Burial will be at West City Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the service.

Pallbearers will be Cody Bass, Matt Hudson, Mike Edwards, Randy Williams, Buster Howard and Scott Cothran.

Honorary pallbearers will be Fairley Dawkins, Jerry Gilmore, Steve White, J.D.Hudson, Chris Gilmore and Nick White.
