Nathan Wesley Rowland and Anna Lee Jones were married at 2 p.m. March 3, 2012, in the courtyard at The McNutt House of Vicksburg. The Rev. Jim Biedenharn officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Nick and Karen Jones of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of Gerald Briggs and Grace Jones and the late Ted Jones, all of Vicksburg, and Dan and Maxine Heagey of Maryville, Tenn.

The groom is the son of Steve and Tina Rowland of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of Rex and Lena Smith of Vicksburg and Martha Rowland and the late Robert Rowland of Marshfield, Mo.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride’s chosen colors were black and white. Music was presented by Sound Design DJ Services.

Maid of honor was Amanda Shiers of Vicksburg. Matron of honor was Catherine McComas of Vicksburg. Bridesmaids were Kayla Pugh, LeAnn Brooks and Magan Lovett, all of Vicksburg.

Steve Rowland served as best man. Groomsmen were Rich Griffin of Jackson and Thad Wade, Bobby Bagwell, Chris Kelly and Ben Rowland, by proxy, all of Vicksburg.

Ushers were Jacob Smithey, Justin Smithey and Jeremy Smithey, all of Vicksburg.

Flower girl was Emma Rowland of Vicksburg. Ring bearer was Evan Rowland of Vicksburg.

Elizabeth Abraham attended the guest book. Special wedding assistant was Launo Moore.

A reception followed in Maggie Hall at The McNutt House. Hostesses were Gail Wells, Laura McCaskill, Michele Connelly and Rosemary Cresap.

For a wedding trip, the couple traveled on a cruise to Key West, Fla., and the Bahamas. They will make their home in Vicksburg.

The bride is employed at River Region Medical Center, and the groom is serving in the U.S. Army.

Rehearsal supper

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal supper at Jacques’ on the eve of the wedding.

Luncheon

Terri and Elizabeth Abraham hosted a bridesmaids’ luncheon at Roca Restaurant.

Showers

The bride was honored with a miscellaneous shower at Porters Chapel United Methodist Church. Hostesses were Laura McCaskill, Gail Wells, Jean and Robin Hughes and Michele Connelly.

Catherine McComas, sister of the bride, Dinah McComas, Amanda Shiers and Vivian McComas hosted a Tupperware shower at the home of Catherine McComas.

Launo Moore, Patsy Counts, Lisa Gwin, Alice Ellis, Maria Signa and Nancy Wansley honored the bride with a china shower at the Moore home.

Kayla Pugh, LeAnn Brooks, Magan Lovett and Amanda Shiers honored the bride with a lingerie shower at Monsour’s Restaurant.
