Caples is accused of entering five vehicles and stealing an undetermined amount of items, Pace said.

Caples is accused of breaking into a Dodge Neon, a Ford Ranger, a Mazda 626, Chevrolet Malibu and a Chevrolet Tahoe, Pace said.

“It’s my understanding that they were all unlocked,” Pace said.

While still in the parking lot, Caples was caught with several stolen items by Deputy Brad Redditt, Pace said.

Owners of the vehicles were taking inventory today to determine what had been stolen, Pace said.

“This investigation is still ongoing and unfolding,” Pace said.

Caples was expected to make his initial appearance today in Warren County Justice Court.
