Fireman’s computer stolen from station

A Vicksburg firefighter out of the station on a call became the victim of a burglary Thursday when his laptop computer was taken from Vicksburg Fire Station No. 9.

The burglary at the station at 323 Waltersville St. was reported at 3:09 p.m., Capt. Bobby Stewart of the Vicksburg Police Department said. The computer was valued at $450.

Separately, at 8:12 a.m., a purse valued at $32 and containing a Bible valued at $15 and $250 was reported stolen from a home in the 100 block of Eastover Drive.
