Plans by the Vicksburg Board of Mayor and Aldermen to discuss reducing the city’s natural gas rates have been postponed until the board’s May 7 meeting, Mayor Paul Winfield said Tuesday.
The board had been scheduled to discuss reducing the gas rates at this morning’s meeting in the wake of natural gas prices falling to under $2 per thousand cubic feet. Winfield said he was delaying action until after the board meets with the city’s gas consultants later today.
