Vicksburg Mayor Paul Winfield has been elected to serve as a Delegate to the Democratic National Convention, according to information from the Mississippi Democratic Party.

He was one of 10 delegates elected Saturday at the Mississippi 2nd Congressional District Convention in Greenville to represent the state at the convention, which will be held Sept. 3 to 8 in Charlotte, N.C.
