A fight over a woman led to one man being stabbed and another being jailed.

Antonio Calvin, 29, 2715 Halls Ferry Road, was charged with aggravated assault at 7:49 a.m., police Capt. Bobby Stewart said.

Calvin is accused of stabbing Darius Hall, 28, 1306 Locust St., several times in the back and torso while fighting over a woman at 1205 China St., Stewart said.

Hall was taken to River Region Medical Center and transferred to University Medical Center in Jackson, Stewart said. Hall remained in good condition at UMC this morning, a hospital spokesman said.

Calvin was taken to the Warren County Jail where he posted $25,000 bail and was released.
