A Mass of the Resurrection for Jessie Johnson will be at noon Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Malcolm O’Leary officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be today at Robbins Funeral Home with Rosary from 6 until 7 p.m.

Mr. Johnson died Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at a sister’s home. He was 74.

He was a medical and surgical technician at Vicksburg Hospital for a number of years and was a caregiver. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and The Holy Name Society.

Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rosa Lee Whitaker Johnson; and three brothers. His sister, Marie Sartain of Fayette, died Wednesday, April 25, 2012.

He is survived by a daughter, Michelle Johnson of Vicksburg; four sisters, Susie Butler, Verlina Doss, Clara Johnson Rush and Florine Stimage, all of Vicksburg; one brother, Willie Doss of Vicksburg; and a granddaughter.
