Leo Goldberg of California uses his hand to shield his eyes from the sun as it sets Wednesday evening over the Mississippi River. Goldberg and friends, Eliana Dahlia Pessu Horn, center, and Helen Strom, both of Maryland, stopped to capture the moment next to the Interstate 20 and U.S. 80 bridges as they made their way from Maryland to New Orleans for a vacation. The National Weather Service predicts a high of 87 today and the mercury to hit and hold at the 90-degree mark this weekend, the first time this year.
