Musician and historian Bobby Horton sings about leaving home during the Civil War as he entertains Tuesday night at the Southern Cultural Heritage Center. The Birmingham resident, considered one of the country’s leading authorities on music of the 1800s, entertained about 125 people. Horton’s show was preceded by musicians from the New Orleans Jazz National Historic Park.
