Smith, Boland marry at Wilderness Baptist

William “Trent” Smith and Amanda Marie Boland were married April 14, 2012, at Wilderness Baptist Church. Bob Conrad officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Jerry and Lynn Boland of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of Joseph L. Franco of Madison and the late Madeline Evans Franco and Wilma W. Boland of Vicksburg and the late Robert A. Boland.

The groom is the son of Brent and Nancy Smith of Vicksburg and Gwen Sibley of Jackson. He is the grandson of Charles and Hoprey Sibley and the late Bobby and Mary Emma Smith, all of Vicksburg.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride’s chosen colors were purple and yellow. Musicians were Wanda Gentry, Glenn Conrad and Lexi Sibley.

Matrons of honor were Courtney Boland Towne and Ashley Boland Pecanty, sisters of the bride, of Vicksburg. Maid of honor was Kayla Michelle Smith, sister of the groom, of Vicksburg.

Bridesmaid was Kelly Suszanne Briggs of Vicksburg. Junior bridesmaids were Taylor Ann Briggs and Lexi Michelle Sibley, cousin of the groom, both of Vicksburg.

The groom’s father served as best man. Groomsmen were Kristopher James Pecanty, Morgan Lloyd, Jay Cooper, William Chase Towne and Brandon Sibley Smith, brother of the groom, all of Vicksburg.

Usher was Carey Bagby of Vicksburg.

Flower girl was Baylyn Miele Pecanty, niece of the bride, of Vicksburg. The bride’s nephew, William Cooper Towne of Vicksburg, served as ring bearer.

Kelly Collier of Vicksburg served as the bride’s proxy. Special wedding assistant was Cathie Newton.

A reception followed at the Knights of Columbus. Hostesses were Pam Kirklin and Sam Treubel.

For a wedding trip, the couple traveled to Estes Park, Colo. They will make their home in Vicksburg.

The bride is employed at Hinds Community College and is a Culkin volunteer firefighter. The groom is employed at International Paper Co.

Rehearsal dinner

On the eve of the wedding, the families of the bride and groom honored the couple with a rehearsal dinner at the Knights of Columbus.

Bridesmaids’ luncheon

The bride and her attendants were honored with a bridesmaids’ luncheon at Main Street Market. Hostesses were Jackie Franco, Temple Franco, Donna Smith, Marie Franco, Joyce Franco and Martha Ann Franco.

Bachelorette party

The bride was honored with a bachelorette party at the home of Courtney Towne.

Showers

Co-workers at Hinds Community College honored the bride with a shower.

Dianne Sibley, Paula Pepper and Hoprey Sibley honored the bride with a miscellaneous shower at the Dianne Sibley home.

The bride was honored with a Pampered Chef shower at Culkin Volunteer Fire Department. Hostesses were Sarah J. Wilson and Lynn Johnston.

Christy Pecanty and Sheila Franco hosted a wine and cheese/kitchen shower at the Pecanty home.

The ladies of Wilderness Baptist Church honored the bride with a shower.

The couple was honored with a honey-do shower at the home of Jerry and Lynn Boland. Hosts were Courtney and Chase Towne, Ashley and Kris Pecanty, Charity and Brent Towne, Liz and Darren Swinford, Kelly Collier, Josh Davies, Holly Mellenthin and Brady Towne.

The bride was honored with a luncheon shower by her Hinds Community College co-workers on the Raymond Campus.
