Mary Margaret Halford of Vicksburg has been named editor for the second year of The Student Printz, the student newspaper at the University of Southern Mississippi. Under her leadership, the newspaper won nine first-place awards, including General Excellence for best college newspaper in the state, at the Mississippi Press Association Awards this spring. A rising senior, she is majoring in journalism. Halford is The Vicksburg Post’s news intern for the summer, also for a second time.
