COTTONDALE, Fla. — Richard “Blayne” Myers, age 36, of Cottondale, Fla., passed away Saturday, May 19, 2012. He was born in Vicksburg and had been a resident of Jackson County, Fla., for eight years. Blayne attended Warren Central High School and graduated from Vicksburg High School. He attended Hinds Community College and Southern University. He was an avid reader and enjoyed computer games, fishing and spending time outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Arthur and Louise Myers; maternal grandfather, Roy M. Stanley Jr.; and a brother, Emmitt Keith Myers.
Survivors include his father, Arthur Emmitt Myers Jr. and wife Lynne of Vicksburg; mother, Genelle Ross Shy of Cottondale; daughter, Lylanna Marie Myers of Noxapater, Miss.; stepbrothers, Eddie Wasmer, Mike Wasmer, Christopher Ross and William Ross; maternal stepgrandparents, Robert and Betty Logue of Vicksburg; maternal grandmother, Virginia Stanley of Marianna, Fla.; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 26, 2012, at 4 p.m. at the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Chaplain Darren Tucker officiating.

The family will be gathering at 4483 Butler Ave. in Marianna.
