A Vicksburg man stopped for not wearing a seat belt was jailed this morning on drug charges.
Willie Jones, 44, 1224 Second North St., was arrested and charged with possession of crack cocaine following a traffic stop at 7:10 p.m. Tuesday at Locust and Jefferson streets, police Capt. Bobby Stewart said.
Jones is accused of trying to hide approximately 1.5 grams of crack as an officer was issuing him a ticket for no seat belt, Stewart said.
Jones was in the Warren County jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
