Services for Rosia Mae Anderson will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Travelers M.B. Church with the Rev. Reginald D. Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 7 p.m. Friday at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home with family hour from 6 until 7.

Mrs. Anderson died Sunday, June 3, 2012, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was 88.

Mrs. Anderson was born May 20, 1924, in Belzoni to the late King and Julia Young Anderson. She formerly attended Riverside M.B. Church in Silver City and Mount Zion No. 1 M.B. Church, where she was in the choir and on the mother board and kitchen committee. She was a member of Bright Morning Star M.B. Church and the Order of Eastern Star.

She owned and operated Rosia’s Beauty Corner for a number of years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Estella Hill and Susie Singleton; three brothers, Robert Lee Anderson, King Anderson Jr. and Jessie Anderson; a daughter, Gladys Frierson; and one grandson, Gus Fleming.

Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Huff of Jackson and Letitia Fleming of San Diego; two sons, Charles Wright of Vicksburg and Alphonso Wright of Jackson; a sister, Lue Oliver Anderson of Tallulah; 12 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
