A REAL MOBILE HOME

Published 12:15 pm Friday, June 8, 2012

A Habitat for Humanity house is moved along Cherry Street as Van Norman House Movers, with help from the Vicksburg Police Department, the Warren County Sheriff’s Department and Entergy, navigated city streets from East Avenue to 1416 Fayette St. Thursday. The move of the 22-foot-wide house, after stalling traffic and forcing detours, was delayed for more than three hours after the trailer being used to pull the house broke on top of a hill on Fayette and had to be repaired. The move was completed at about 5 p.m. Abraham Green of Habitat for Humanity said the house will be restored for a family that has not been chosen.
