On Wednesday, the Clear Creek Ladies Golf Association hosted their June Retirees Scramble. The team of Emily Bonelli, Don Biedenharn, Doug Dick and Rodney McHann took first place. Debra Robinson, Larry Cook, John Loboda, Jimmy Stabler and Richard Taylor were second. Third place went to Mary Harmon, Eddie Fowler, Donnie Frith and Jim Hurley.

Closest to the pin awards went to Cissy Coleman, Brad Heisler and Albert Parkinson. Robinson and McHann hit the longest drives.

Chip-ins were made by Bonelli, Billy Helmuth, Jerry Harmon and McHann.

Trina Frierson Basketball Camp

Former Vicksburg High and WNBA player Trina Frierson will host her first youth basketball camp Monday through Wednesday at Vicksburg Junior High. It will run from 8 a.m. until noon each day.

The camp is for boys in grades 6-8, and girls in grades 7-12. The registration fee is $75. Registration will begin at 7 a.m., and walk-ups are welcome. For information, call Diamond Allen at 318–773–5523 or via e-mail at dc40nsu@yahoo.com.

Gator youth football camp

Vicksburg High will host the Gator Youth Football Camp at Memorial Stadium on Tuesday and Wednesday. The camp is for students ages 7-14 and will run from 9 a.m. to noon each day.

The fee for the camp is $50, and registration will run through Tuesday.
