Smokies stymie M-Braves again

The Tennessee Smokies scored three runs in the second inning, with two of them coming in on a squeeze bunt and a fielder’s choice, and went on to beat the Mississippi Braves 4-2 on Sunday.
Nate Samson went 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored for Tennessee (31-33). Eric Jokisch (3-0) allowed one run in 71⁄3 innings to get the victory.
Tim Smith was 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored for the M-Braves (26-38).
The M-Braves lost to the Smokies for the fourth straight game, and for the 18th time in 22 games overall. The finale of the five-game series is today in Jackson, Tenn., then the M-Braves return home to Trustmark Park to start a series against Jacksonville on Wednesday night
