JAMMED UP

Two tow trucks attempt to pull away an 18-wheeler that flipped on Interstate 20 near the eastbound scales at about 6:30 Thursday night, injuring a woman in a second vehicle and blocking eastbound traffic for more than two hours. The backup of traffic, all the way to Indiana Avenue, left hundreds of cars at a standstill and saw plenty of children using the grass area along the roadsides as a play area. Trooper Kerrick Watson of the Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol, which was investigating, declined to identify the driver of either vehicle or speculate on the cause of the accident. The traffic tie-up was one of three on major thoroughfares in the area.
