A computer and car are missing after two Friday afternoon thefts.

At 1:10 p.m. a Hewlett-Packard laptop computer valued at $800 was reported stolen from a home in the 800 block of Lee Street, police Capt. Bobby Stewart said.

At 1:54 pm., a 1995 Honda Accent with Mississippi personalized license plate SKEMOM was reported stolen from the 800 block of Polk Street, Stewart said.
