TALLULAH — William “Buck” Johnson Jr. died Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at Madison Parish Hospital. He was 85.

Mr. Johnson was a retired escort vehicle and truck driver. He was born in Union, Miss. He was a member of Waverly Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lou Rainer; his father, William Luther Johnson; a sister, Mary Frances Johnson; and a stepsister, Polly Williams.

A memorial service will be Saturday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Waverly Baptist Church in Waverly with the Rev. Don Thornton officiating.
