Appeal for a new hearing was denied for a Vicksburg man sentenced to life in prison for vehicle theft and burglary.
Tuesday, the state Court of Appeals denied a motion by William Vinzant, 53, for a new hearing.
Vinzant was convicted March 23, 2010, and sentenced by Judge M. James Chaney to life in prison under habitual offender statutes.
Vinzant was arrested for the burglary Dec. 9, 2008, and defended by Vicksburg attorney Jerry Campbell. He had been convicted of armed robbery in Warren County in September 1996 and of burglary in Georgia in 1991.
