A Vicksburg man was arrested Wednesday afternoon and charged with two counts of receiving stolen property, Vicksburg police Capt. Bobby Stewart said.
John Hicks, 29, 2055 Sky Farm Ave., was arrested at 1:37 p.m. after a traffic stop on Interstate 20 when police found a Kubota Zero Turn lawn mower valued at $13,500 that was reported stolen on Aug. 10 in the 600 block of Hutson Street. Police also recovered two Stihl lawn trimmers, a RedMax lawn trimmer and a Stihl backpack leaf blower that were reported missing in a June 19 burglary in the 500 block of Grange Hall Road, Stewart said.
Hicks was released on a $25,000 bond Wednesday night, jail records showed.
