The engagement of Michelle Renee Straughter to Michael Daniel Williams, both of Vicksburg, is announced today. Vows will be exchanged at 3 p.m. Aug. 11, 2012, at Rose Hill M.B. Church. A reception will follow at the Knights of Columbus, Fisher Ferry Road. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Miss Straughter is the daughter of Sally Straughter and Michial Anderson, both of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of Bessie Sanders and the late Clarence Sanders of Vicksburg.

Mr. Williams is the son of Marilyn Williams-Butler and the late Alfred Williams Jr. of Vicksburg.

The bride-elect attended Warren Central High School, where she was a member of the band, ROTC, FTA and Choices. She is employed with the Mississippi Department of Human Services.

The prospective groom attended Vicksburg High School. He is employed with American Commercial Lines in Channelview, Texas.
