Tearing down Ceres house is ‘incomprehensible’

It is incomprehensible that anyone would raze an 1830s home such as the Ceres Plantation House in the year 2012.
All this on the mere speculation that the site could be rented.
What is the Ceres Research and Industrial Interplex? As far as I know there’s nothing there but a chicken plant and a metal building they’ve been trying to rent for decades.
